Hearing aids · Independent advice

Hearing aids from the world’s leading brands, chosen for your hearing.

Fidelity Hearing Centre is an independent, family-owned clinic. We aren’t owned by a manufacturer, so our audiologists can fit hearing aids from Phonak, Oticon, Starkey, Unitron, Signia, Widex and Beltone, and recommend the one that suits your hearing, your ears and the people you want to hear.

The brands we fit

Explore hearing aids by brand

Each page explains the newest hearing aid family in plain language: what it does in noisy places, the styles it comes in, and who it tends to suit.

How we help you choose

Start with your hearing, not the brand

Understand your hearing

A full hearing assessment shows what you’re missing and where. We talk through the places you find hardest, from family lunches to busy cafés.

Compare honestly

We explain the brands and technology levels that suit your results and your ears, and what each level lets your audiologist do for you in noise.

Fitted and followed up

Your hearing aids are fitted and checked with real-ear measurement, then fine-tuned at follow-up visits as you settle in.

Already wearing hearing aids?

We can help with the ones you have

Not sure what you’re wearing?

Many hearing aids are sold under a clinic’s or chain’s own name. Our white-label hearing aids page lines up the GN Hearing family, including Hearing Australia, Amplifon and Specsavers Advance. For other brands, bring yours in and we’ll identify it.

Subsidies and rebates

If you’re eligible for the Hearing Services Program, you can choose which accredited provider looks after you. Many private health funds also offer rebates on hearing aids. See subsidies and rebates.

FAQ

Common questions

Which hearing aid brand is best?

There isn’t one best brand for everyone. Every major manufacturer makes excellent hearing aids, and each has its own strengths. The right choice depends on your hearing results, the shape of your ears, the places you find hardest to hear in, and what matters to you day to day. Because we’re independent, we can recommend the one that suits you rather than the one we’re tied to.

Do you only fit one brand?

No. Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent and isn’t owned by a manufacturer. Our audiologists fit Phonak, Oticon, Starkey, Unitron, Signia, Widex and Beltone hearing aids.

What does the level number on a hearing aid mean?

Most brands offer their hearing aids at several technology levels. The level decides how many features your audiologist can access to shape sound for you, especially in noisy places. Each brand numbers its levels differently, so compare levels, not numbers.

My hearing aid has a clinic’s own brand name. Can you tell me what it is?

Often, yes. Many hearing aids are sold under a clinic’s or chain’s own name, known as white-label hearing aids. Our white-label finder lines up the GN Hearing family (ReSound, Beltone, Hearing Australia, Amplifon and Specsavers Advance). For other brands, bring yours in and we’ll identify it for you.

Can you look after hearing aids I bought somewhere else?

In many cases, yes. Bring your hearing aids in and we’ll check what they are, how they’re set up, and tell you honestly what we can do. If you’re eligible for the Hearing Services Program, you can choose which accredited provider looks after you.

Features vary by model, style and technology level. Individual results vary, and hearing aids won’t restore normal hearing.
