Why Widex, with us

A great hearing aid, chosen for you, not for a sales target

Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent and family-owned. We aren’t tied to one manufacturer, so we recommend Widex when it’s genuinely the best match for you, and we’ll tell you when another brand suits you better.

Independent advice

We fit hearing aids from the major manufacturers. Widex is one of the options we compare side by side, based on your test results and goals.

Tested, then fitted

Your fitting starts with a full hearing assessment, and we verify and fine-tune the settings so the sound is right for your ears.

Fitted for your listening life

We tune the settings around the conversations that matter to you — partner, family, grandkids, work and social situations — then refine them from your feedback at follow-up.

Ongoing local care

Adjustments, cleaning and support from the same local team, at our Springwood, Birkdale and Plainland clinics.

Ways to wear Widex

Allure AI comes in one discreet rechargeable style, the RIC R D. Widex’s wider Allure range shares the same natural-sound platform, without the AI co-processor. We’ll help you choose what suits your hearing, your ears and how you live.

How Allure AI helps in noise

Natural sound first. AI clarity when you want it.

Most of the day, you want the world to sound like itself: your partner’s voice, birdsong in the garden, the grandkids laughing, music that sounds like music. Widex builds its hearing aids around that natural sound, and Widex reports that 97% of Allure wearers describe the sound as natural and clear.†

Busy places are different. When a restaurant or a family get-together gets loud, a tap on the hearing aid or the Widex Allure app turns on Clarity Boost. It switches on a dedicated AI co-processor that uses a neural network to bring speech forward and reduce the noise around it, while keeping you aware of the room. Widex reports up to 6 dB better output signal-to-noise ratio than leading AI-based competitors.** Your audiologist sets up Clarity Boost and your other programs for your hearing and the places you spend your time.

Always-on AI processing

Processes everything, all the time, which can change how everyday sounds feel.

Allure AI with Clarity Boost

Keeps natural Widex sound by default, and adds AI clarity when you ask for it.**

A family dinner out, with Allure AI

  1. Arriving and settling inThe everyday program keeps sound natural, so voices, cutlery and background music sound the way you expect.
  2. The room fills upA tap on your hearing aid turns on Clarity Boost, and the voices at your table come forward.**
  3. The grandkids are at the far endIn the Widex Allure app, the AI Sound Assistant and Direction Focus help you fine-tune the sound for the moment.
  4. Heading homeAnother tap takes you back to your everyday program, with nothing to remember on the way out.

Allure AI technology levels

More ways for your audiologist to get you hearing what matters

Widex Allure AI comes in two technology levels: 440 and 330. The level decides how many features and adjustable parameters your audiologist can access to shape speech in background noise, so you can follow your partner, family and grandkids at home and in the busier places you spend time. Allure AI 440 gives them all optimisation features. Allure AI 330 removes or reduces features from that set, which reduces the options available to obtain the sound and benefit you want in the listening situations that matter to you.

Allure AI 440
All optimisation features available

Your audiologist can access every Allure AI feature and parameter to optimise clarity in busy, changing listening situations.

  • Clarity Boost, with the dedicated AI co-processor
  • 15 channels for the finest control over how sound is shaped for your hearing
  • The full set of 11 sound classes, so the hearing aid recognises more types of listening situation and adapts to each one
  • The full range of directional and noise settings for speech in busy places
  • The full set of AI personalisation options in the Widex Allure app
Allure AI 330
Removed or reduced options from 440

Your audiologist still has Clarity Boost and natural Widex sound to work with, with reduced options compared with Allure AI 440.

  • Clarity Boost remains available
  • Channels are reduced from 15 to 12
  • Sound classes are reduced from 11 to 8, so fewer listening situations are recognised automatically
  • Directional and noise settings are reduced
  • Some app personalisation options are reduced
Available at both Allure AI levels: Clarity Boost, the W1 chip and Widex natural sound, Bluetooth® streaming and hands-free calls with compatible devices, telecoil, rechargeable battery and charger options, the Widex Allure app, and real-ear verified fitting. What changes between levels is how many features and adjustable parameters your audiologist can access to obtain the listening result you need in background noise. We’ll match the level to the situations that matter to you. If you don’t need Clarity Boost, the Allure RIC R D without AI comes in more technology levels; ask us.

FAQ

Widex questions

What’s new in Widex Allure AI?

Allure AI RIC R D is Widex’s newest hearing aid, launched in Australia in 2026. It keeps the natural sound of the Widex Allure platform and adds a dedicated AI co-processor for Clarity Boost, an on-demand program for extra speech clarity in noisy places. It fits in the same small housing as Allure RIC R D, with a telecoil, hands-free calls and up to 32 hours of battery life.*

How is Clarity Boost different from other AI hearing aids?

Many AI hearing aids run their AI processing all the time. Widex takes a different approach: natural sound is the everyday setting, and the AI co-processor works when you turn Clarity Boost on, with a tap on the hearing aid or in the app. That puts you in control of when the AI steps in.** We’ll set it up so it’s easy to use in the places you find hardest.

Do I need a phone to use Clarity Boost?

No. You can turn Clarity Boost on and off with a tap on the hearing aid. The Widex Allure app is there if you’d like more control, but it isn’t required.

What’s the difference between Allure AI and Allure?

The key difference is Clarity Boost. Both share Widex’s natural sound and the Widex Allure app. Allure AI RIC R D adds the dedicated AI co-processor for extra clarity in noise. If your listening is mostly at home and in smaller groups, Allure without AI may be all you need, and we’ll tell you honestly.

I already wear Widex. Is Allure AI an upgrade?

Allure AI is new hardware, not a software update. If you wear an older Widex model such as Moment or Evoke and it’s still working well, we’re happy to keep looking after it. Ask us whether moving to Allure AI would make a real difference in the situations you find hardest.

Will Allure AI work with my phone?

Allure AI supports streaming and hands-free calls with compatible iPhone and Android devices. Compatibility depends on your phone model and software version, so we’ll check your phone and pair it with you at your fitting.

Can I get help with the cost?

Eligible pensioners, veterans and some other groups may receive hearing aids through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, and many private health funds offer rebates on hearing aids. See our Subsidies & rebates page, or ask our team to check for you.

Do you only fit Widex?

No. Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent. We fit hearing aids from several leading manufacturers and recommend whichever one best suits your hearing, ears, budget and lifestyle.

Battery life varies with use pattern, streaming, Clarity Boost use, features, hearing loss, sound environment and battery age. **Clarity Boost uses a dedicated AI co-processor activated by the wearer. “Up to 6 dB higher output SNR compared with leading AI-based competitors” is Widex’s claim. Clarity Boost is available on Allure AI RIC R D. †From Widex clinical research on Widex Allure: 95% of wearers reported improved speech in noise and 97% described the sound as natural and clear.
