Phonak Audéo EON Sphere: hear the voice that matters, even in a noisy room.
Phonak’s newest AI hearing aid is smaller, lighter and built to bring conversation forward in busy places. At Fidelity Hearing Centre, our independent audiologists will help you decide if Phonak EON is the right fit for your hearing, your ears and your lifestyle.
Independent clinic · Springwood, Birkdale & Plainland · Private health and government hearing subsidies may apply.

A great hearing aid, chosen for you, not for a sales target
Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent and family-owned. We aren’t tied to one manufacturer, so we recommend Phonak when it’s genuinely the best match for you, and we’ll tell you when another brand suits you better.
Independent advice
We fit hearing aids from the major manufacturers. Phonak is one of the options we compare side by side, based on your test results and goals.
Tested, then fitted
Your fitting starts with a full hearing assessment, and we fine-tune the settings so the sound is right for your ears.
Fitted for your listening life
We tune the settings around the conversations that matter to you — partner, family, grandkids, work and social situations — then refine them from your feedback at follow-up.
Ongoing local care
Adjustments, cleaning and support from the same local team, at our Springwood, Birkdale and Plainland clinics.
Three Phonak EON hearing aids, one for every kind of hearing loss
EON is Phonak’s newest generation, launched in Australia in September 2026. All three models are rechargeable receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids that sit discreetly behind the ear.
Phonak Audéo EON Sphere
Phonak’s most advanced hearing aid. A dedicated AI chip separates speech from noise in real time, so conversation stands out in busy places.
- HYPERSONIC™ chip with Spheric Speech Clarity™ 3.0
- 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere**
- Up to 38 hours of battery*
- For mild to profound hearing loss
Great for: restaurants, family gatherings, group conversations and anyone who finds noise the hardest part of hearing.
Phonak Audéo EON R
The rechargeable all-rounder. It has smart, automatic AI sound adjustment, without the Sphere’s dedicated speech-in-noise chip.
- AutoSense OS™ AI adjusts to your surroundings automatically
- Up to 38 hours of battery*
- Works with CROS EON R
- For mild to profound hearing loss
Great for: clear, natural everyday listening at home, at work and out and about.
Phonak CROS EON R
For people with unaidable hearing in one ear, such as single-sided deafness. It sends sound from that side across to an Audéo EON R on your better ear.
- Pairs with Audéo EON R
- CROS Balance lets you adjust loudness between sides
- Rechargeable, up to 20 hours*
Great for: never missing the person sitting on your “bad side” again.

Louder isn’t the answer. Clearer is.
Most people with hearing loss say the hardest place to hear is somewhere noisy: a restaurant, a club or a busy kitchen. Making everything louder makes the noise louder too.
Audéo EON Sphere includes a second chip, HYPERSONIC™, that your audiologist can put to work: a deep neural network (AI trained to recognise speech) that pulls speech out of background noise in real time. Phonak calls this Spheric Speech Clarity™ 3.0. Because it works on sound from every direction, your audiologist can use it to support you when the person talking isn’t right in front of you.
Traditional hearing aid
Mostly focuses on sound from in front, so voices from the side can get lost.
EON Sphere
Separates voices from noise all around you, so conversation stands out.

A Saturday night out, with EON Sphere
- You walk into a busy restaurantAutoSense OS™ AI 8.0 recognises the noisy scene and switches settings for you, with no buttons needed.
- Your friend speaks from beside youSpheric Speech Clarity™ 3.0 brings their voice forward and pushes the clatter back.
- You step out onto a windy balconyWindBlock 2.0 reduces wind noise by up to 50 dB,† so the conversation keeps going.
- You drive homeTake a hands-free call through your hearing aids, then pop them on the charger overnight.

More ways for your audiologist to get you hearing what matters
Technology level decides how many features and adjustable parameters your audiologist can access to shape speech in background noise — including at home with family and other everyday situations that aren’t quiet. 90 gives them the fullest set. Each step down removes features from that set, so there are more limited options to obtain the sound and benefit you want in the listening situations that matter to you.
Your audiologist has access to the complete set of EON features and parameters to optimise clarity when speech has to compete with background noise.
- Spheric Speech Clarity™ 3.0 — they can enable automatic use at highest strength, so the aid separates speech from noise from every direction without you switching programs
- Speech Enhancer — a parameter they can use for soft speech and voices from further away (another room, quieter talkers)
- SpeechSensor — controls they can set for speech arriving from the side or behind
- Dynamic Noise Cancellation — spatial noise controls around speech they can tune in the fitting software
- Motion Sensor Hearing — parameters they can enable so the aid adjusts when you walk and talk in noise
- Automatic programs for calm, car, comfort in noise, music and streaming — each available for them to customise
- 20 processing channels for finer gain and fine-tuning
Your audiologist still has access to enable strong automatic speech-in-noise support — with a more limited set of parameters than 90.
- Spheric Speech Clarity™ — they can still enable it automatically, at high strength rather than highest. The maximum denoising setting available at 90 is not in the fitting options
- Speech Enhancer is removed from the fitting software — no dedicated parameter for soft or more distant speech in quiet
- SpeechSensor, Dynamic Noise Cancellation, Motion Sensor Hearing and the automatic environment programs remain available for them to adjust
- Still 20 processing channels
Your audiologist’s options for background noise become more limited. They work within a reduced feature set and have more limited automatic controls to dial in.
- Spheric Speech Clarity™ is no longer an automatic fitting path — they can still access it as a manual program at moderate strength only. Strength and auto behaviour that 70 and 90 offer sit outside this level’s parameters
- Dynamic Noise Cancellation is removed — those spatial noise controls are not available for them to adjust
- SpeechSensor is removed — no dedicated controls for speech from the side or behind
- The higher-level automatic live-music handling is not part of this toolkit
- Processing channels reduce to 16 — more limited fine-tuning resolution
- Motion Sensor Hearing remains available for them to enable
A simpler EON R path. Connectivity and core comfort features remain; your audiologist does not have access to the advanced speech-in-noise parameters they would use to optimise in noisier environments.
- Spheric Speech Clarity™ is not available — the AI speech-from-noise feature sits outside this level’s toolkit
- Motion Sensor Hearing is removed — no walking-and-talking optimisation parameters for them to enable
- Program set is more limited: mainly calm, speech-in-noise and streaming
- Processing channels reduce to 12
- Bluetooth®, Auracast™, Roger™, WindBlock 2.0 and rechargeable use remain — with a more limited set of tools for your audiologist to shape speech-in-noise benefit
Have Phonak Infinio or Audéo Sphere Infinio? EON is new hardware, so Infinio can’t be upgraded to EON by a software update. Infinio remains a capable hearing aid, and we’re happy to look after it. Ask us whether moving to EON would make a real difference for you.
Who Phonak EON tends to suit
- You struggle most in noise: restaurants, clubs, group chats. Look at Audéo EON Sphere.
- You want discreet and rechargeable: no fiddly batteries, and a small behind-the-ear design.
- You have hearing in only one ear: CROS EON R with Audéo EON R.
- You’re looking to upgrade: from older hearing aids that are past their best — including models that are now obsolete — whatever brand you’re wearing now, and want an honest comparison.
Not sure? That’s what your appointment is for. We’ll test your hearing, talk through your lifestyle and compare Phonak against other leading brands, with no pressure.

What’s the difference between Audéo EON Sphere and Audéo EON R?
Both are rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aids with up to 38 hours of battery and the same Bluetooth® and Auracast™ connectivity. EON Sphere adds the HYPERSONIC™ AI chip and Spheric Speech Clarity™ 3.0 for extra help hearing speech in loud noise. EON R is the everyday all-rounder and is the model that pairs with CROS EON R.
Is EON the same as Phonak Infinio?
No. Infinio (including Audéo Sphere Infinio / Infinio Ultra) is the previous Phonak generation. EON is the newer one, released in Australia in September 2026, with a new HYPERSONIC™ chip. Phonak says Audéo EON Sphere is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere. Infinio can’t be upgraded to EON with a software update — it’s new hardware.
If you’re comparing brands within the Sonova family: Phonak Infinio Sphere and Unitron Moxi S-RX share the same dedicated DEEPSONIC™ AI chip and a very similar speech-in-noise feature set (Phonak calls it Spheric Speech Clarity™; Unitron calls it SoundSonic360). Housing, apps and fine-tuning still differ by brand, and we’ll help you choose what suits you. EON is a later Phonak platform and is not the same hardware as Moxi S-RX.
Will Phonak EON work with my phone?
Phonak EON uses “Made for All” Bluetooth®, so it connects directly to most iPhone and Android phones as well as many tablets, computers and TVs. We’ll pair it with your devices at your fitting.
Can I get help with the cost?
Eligible pensioners, veterans and some other groups may receive hearing aids through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, and many private health funds offer rebates on hearing aids. See our Subsidies & rebates page, or ask our team to check for you.
Do you only fit Phonak?
No. Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent. We fit hearing aids from several leading manufacturers and recommend whichever one best suits your hearing, ears, budget and lifestyle.
