Starkey Omega AI: hear the voices that matter, wherever the day takes you.
Starkey’s newest hearing aid family pairs deep neural network sound processing with health and safety features like fall alerts. At Fidelity Hearing Centre, our independent audiologists will help you decide if Starkey is the right fit for your hearing, your ears and the people you want to hear.
Independent clinic · Springwood, Birkdale & Plainland · Private health and government hearing subsidies may apply.

A great hearing aid, chosen for you, not for a sales target
Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent and family-owned. We aren’t tied to one manufacturer, so we recommend Starkey when it’s genuinely the best match for you, and we’ll tell you when another brand suits you better.
Independent advice
We fit hearing aids from the major manufacturers. Starkey is one of the options we compare side by side, based on your test results and goals.
Tested, then fitted
Your fitting starts with a full hearing assessment, and we verify and fine-tune the settings so the sound is right for your ears.
Fitted for your listening life
We tune the settings around the conversations that matter to you — partner, family, grandkids, work and social situations — then refine them from your feedback at follow-up.
Ongoing local care
Adjustments, cleaning and support from the same local team, at our Springwood, Birkdale and Plainland clinics, with remote fine-tuning when it suits you.
Ways to wear Starkey Omega AI
Omega AI is one hearing aid family offered in several styles, from behind-the-ear receiver-in-canal models to custom styles made from impressions of your ears. We’ll help you choose the style that suits your hearing, your ears and how you live.
Omega AI mRIC R
Our most popular Omega AI style: a compact, rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid that sits discreetly behind the ear, with a slim wire to a speaker in the ear canal.
- DNN 360 on Omega AI 24, for speech in busy places**
- Small and light behind the ear, and recharges overnight
- Status light for charge and connection, which doubles as a find-my-hearing-aid light
- Fitted with a soft dome or a custom-made earpiece
Great for: family dinners, cafés, group conversations and busy workplaces, for people who want a small rechargeable hearing aid with all the options for hearing in noise.
Omega AI RIC RT & RIC 312
Other receiver-in-canal options. The RIC RT is a slightly larger rechargeable style with a telecoil; the RIC 312 uses a disposable size 312 battery.
- Receiver-in-canal design, so DNN 360 is available on Omega AI 24**
- RIC RT: up to 51 hours from one charge, even when streaming,* plus a telecoil for hearing loops
- RIC RT works with Omega AI CROS for hearing in one ear
Great for: people who use hearing loops, or need a CROS solution (RIC RT), or prefer to swap batteries rather than recharge (RIC 312).
Omega AI CIC, ITC R & ITE R
Custom styles made from impressions of your ears. The CIC sits deep in the canal; the ITC R and ITE R are rechargeable in-the-ear styles.
- Made to fit the shape of your ears
- Rechargeable ITC R and ITE R, with their own chargers
- Nothing sits behind the ear, which suits glasses wearers
Great for: people who’d rather wear something in the ear. DNN 360 is a feature of the receiver-in-canal styles.

Not every style suits every hearing loss or every ear. Ask us which Omega AI styles suit you.
Clearer voices, without losing your bearings.
The hardest place to hear is usually a busy one: a café, a family get-together, a meeting where everyone talks at once. Traditional hearing aids focus on whatever is in front of you and turn the rest down. That helps, but it can make it harder to tell where sounds are coming from.
Omega AI’s DNN 360 uses a deep neural network, trained on a vast range of real-world sounds, to steer focus toward speech while keeping a sense of where sounds are around you. Starkey reports up to 28% better speech understanding in noise than its previous technology.** Edge Mode+ adds an extra boost of clarity in a difficult moment. Your audiologist decides how these features are set up for your hearing and the places you spend your time.
Traditional directionality
Focuses on the person in front and turns down the rest, so the room can feel narrow.
Omega AI with DNN 360
Brings speech forward and keeps your sense of where people are around you.**
A busy café catch-up, with Omega AI
- The coffee machine is roaringOmega AI keeps assessing the room and reduces machine noise and clatter, so your friend’s voice stays in front.
- Someone joins from the sideDNN 360 helps keep voices clear from around you, not just straight ahead, on Omega AI 24 receiver-in-canal styles.**
- It’s still hard to catch every wordOn Omega AI 24, a tap or a button press turns on Edge Mode+ for an extra lift in clarity, set up by your audiologist.
- You walk home along a windy streetBuilt-in motion sensors and wind noise reduction help the sound adjust as you move.
Stay connected, and give the family peace of mind
Omega AI streams with Bluetooth® LE Audio, recharges overnight in its rechargeable styles, and the My Starkey app adds health and safety features that can reassure the people who care about you.
Calls and streaming
Stream calls, music, podcasts and TV audio from compatible iPhone and Android devices, with quick pairing on compatible Android phones.
Auracast™ broadcast audio
Omega AI is Auracast™ ready, so you can tune in to broadcasts as they appear in venues such as airports, gyms and theatres, with sound going straight to your hearing aids.
Accessories for tough situations
For TV, meetings or a partner across a noisy table, StarLink Edge accessories such as the TV Streamer, Remote Microphone and Table Microphone send sound directly to your hearing aids.
All-day rechargeable
The mRIC R and RIC RT recharge overnight, and the RIC RT gives up to 51 hours from a full charge, even when streaming.* Rechargeable styles come with a charger, including options with a built-in battery for charging away from a power point.
My Starkey app & remote care
Adjust volume and programs, find a misplaced hearing aid, set reminders and run a quick self check. TeleHear lets us fine-tune your hearing aids remotely when a clinic visit isn’t convenient.
Fall alert & health tracking
Built-in sensors can detect a fall and send an alert to contacts you choose.‡ The app can also track daily activity and social engagement, and includes balance exercises.
More ways for your audiologist to get you hearing what matters
Starkey Omega AI comes in three technology levels: 24, 20 and 16. The level decides how many features and adjustable parameters your audiologist can access to shape speech in background noise, so you can follow your partner, family and grandkids at home and in the busier places you spend time. Omega AI 24 gives them all optimisation features. Each step down removes or reduces features from that set, which reduces the options available to obtain the sound and benefit you want in the listening situations that matter to you.
Your audiologist can access every Omega AI feature and parameter to optimise clarity in busy, changing listening situations.

Who Starkey tends to suit
- You want to follow conversation in busy places: family gatherings, cafés, work. Look at Omega AI 24 in the mRIC R or another receiver-in-canal style, with DNN 360.
- You or your family worry about falls: Omega AI can alert people you choose if it detects a fall, which many families find reassuring.
- You’d rather wear something in the ear: custom Omega AI styles are made to fit your ears, if your ear canal and hearing suit them.
- You have hearing in only one ear: Omega AI RIC RT with Omega AI CROS.
- You’re looking to upgrade: from older hearing aids that are past their best — including models that are now obsolete — whatever brand you’re wearing now, and want an honest comparison.
Not sure? That’s what your appointment is for. We’ll test your hearing, talk through the situations that matter to you and compare Starkey against other leading brands, with no pressure.

What’s new in Starkey Omega AI?
Omega AI is Starkey’s newest hearing aid family, launched in Australia in 2026. The headline feature is DNN 360, which uses a deep neural network to help bring speech forward in noise while keeping your sense of where sounds are coming from. It also adds a status light on rechargeable behind-the-ear styles, a tougher waterproof coating, Bluetooth® LE Audio with Auracast™, and more health and safety features in the My Starkey app.
Is DNN 360 available in every style?
No. DNN 360 is available on Omega AI 24 in the receiver-in-canal styles (mRIC R, RIC RT and RIC 312). Custom in-the-ear styles and the 20 and 16 levels still have Omega AI’s automatic sound processing and noise reduction, without DNN 360. We’ll explain what that means for the situations you find hardest.
I already wear Starkey. Is Omega AI an upgrade?
Omega AI is Starkey’s newest generation, following Genesis AI and Edge AI. It’s new hardware rather than a software update. If your current Starkey hearing aids are still working well, we’re happy to keep looking after them. Ask us whether moving to Omega AI would make a real difference in the situations you find hardest.
How does fall alert work?
Sensors in the hearing aids can detect a likely fall. Through the My Starkey app on your paired phone, an alert can then be sent to contacts you choose. We’ll help you set it up at your fitting. Fall alert needs your phone nearby with the app running, and it isn’t a replacement for a medical alarm or emergency service.‡
Are Starkey hearing aids waterproof?
Starkey rates its rechargeable Omega AI styles waterproof up to 1 metre,† so rain, sweat and accidental splashes aren’t a worry. We’ll still show you how to clean and care for them so they keep performing.
Will Omega AI work with my phone?
Omega AI supports Bluetooth® LE Audio, streaming and hands-free calls with compatible iPhone and Android devices. Compatibility depends on your phone model and software version, so we’ll check your phone and pair it with you at your fitting.
Can I get help with the cost?
Eligible pensioners, veterans and some other groups may receive hearing aids through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, and many private health funds offer rebates on hearing aids. See our Subsidies & rebates page, or ask our team to check for you.
Do you only fit Starkey?
No. Fidelity Hearing Centre is independent. We fit hearing aids from several leading manufacturers and recommend whichever one best suits your hearing, ears, budget and lifestyle.
